Travelling with Jumbulance
Many of our trips will be through The Jumbulance Trust travel coaches. Jumbulance is a charity that makes accessible travel possible for adults and children who are disabled or have a serious or complex health condition. They offer groups and individuals the opportunity to take holidays, short breaks or a day out in the UK or Europe by providing special part coach / part ambulances called Jumbulances.
Where They Go
- European destinations include Holland, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Euro Disney, Pilgrimage to Lourdes.
- Each year, with the help of specialist instructors and equipment, we take a group skiing to Niederau in Austria.
- UK holidays include the highlands of Scotland, Lake District, Norfolk, Blackpool, Wales and more.
- Day trips to the seaside, safari parks, city sightseeing, shopping trips etc.
The Jumbulance has the capacity to take 24 passengers in 18 fixed seats and space for 6 wheelchairs clamped into tracking within the floor. There is a fully accessible toilet on board as well as a small kitchen, hydraulic lift, plenty of storage, pa system and full range of medical equipment. This is an extra added peace of mind for many families travelling with autistic children, young people and adults.
